A day in the life of a pug in Portland's Pearl District. "Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made." - Roger Caras

Puparazzi

Watch out for the "Puparazzi!"
To celebrate the Oscar's, I hosted a party complete with the red carpet.
The one thing missing -
The paparazzi.
That's where Sigmund fit in.
I knew he would run and greet everyone at the door and bark at them so I figured...
why not make him a little "camera" and he can be the "puparazzi!"

Pugs and The Ball

These two pugs frolicking with their ball have got to be one of the cutest things ever! You better believe I'm getting Sigmund a balloon this weekend. Let's hope he's not scared of it! As for these dogs... wouldn't you think they'd be a little "trimmer" with all that exercise?

This Pug's Cool!

I want Sigmund to learn how to do this! It must be so fun for them... and such great exercise! What a cutie!

Sigmund is SOOOO Famous!

First - Sigmund gets in the newspaper. Next - He's on the front page. Now - He's all over TV! (It helps that is happens to be my station and my story!)
"Must Love Dogs" is one of my special projects this month. It's a story about local singles utilizing their pets to find true love. We shot video at a dog park and a doggie date night at Lexi Dog... Two places I could never go without my little guy! So of course, he got to be in the video! Is there a cuter pug? (I know, I know... I'm slightly biased!)

Pug in the Paper!

Sigmund and Patrick made the front page of The Oregonian!
Check out the caption:
"Sigmund Oliver, rode in a basket while getting comfort from his owner, Anita Kissee, of Portland, as they prepared to begin the Worst Day of the Year, an 18 mile ride around Portland that began in Southeast, Sunday morning. "
The real story:
Sigmund LOVES this ride... 18 miles in that basket.
The photographer caught him at his one unhappy moment.
The drums were beating so loud at the start,
it hurt his little ears and he started howling!
So that's my arm trying to cover his ears.
This is Sigmund's 4th or 5th picture in the paper.
This pug is so famous...

Model Good Looks

This is one of the dog kerchief's I made. You can check them out over at my craft blog Chic Chick. Sigmund is such a good model and a tolerant dog for letting me dress him!
I was never really a fan of these, but I made one for Salty Dog and had some left-over. When I put it on Sigmund, he just looked so cute, I made another! Thanks to my friend Beth for giving Sigmund one for Christmas... I had something to copy! And - that's the cutest one that convinced me to make these!

Little Helper

Company's in town... And this is how Sigmund likes to help! By sitting in the middle of the air mattress while we're trying to blow it up. No joke - he does this every time. Maybe he likes the way it feels.
