A day in the life of a pug in Portland's Pearl District. "Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made." - Roger Caras

Pug in a Pose

Holiday Sweater Set! Posted by Picasa

Merry Christmas!!!!
Ok, Ok! I know I'm ridiculous... but look how cute he looks in his snowman sweater and scarf! We can't walk down the street in this outfit without people turning around to tell us how adorable he looks! (Patrick prefers not to walk him when he's wearing this!) I think he knows he looks cute because he gets a little sassy! It's funny - I hate big dogs in clothes, but I don't mind little dogs dressed up. The big ones creep me out! Any thoughts on that?

Pug at Play

Sigmund's first trip to the beach! Posted by Picasa

Pug at play! We took Sigmund to the beach for the first time and he loved it! It's like he knew the beach was just for him! He ran around like a lunatic... then picked up this crab leg and carried it around until we finally took it away! But watch out - he almost got swept away once! Lesson learned - pugs can't swim very well. We can't wait to take him back!

In the meantime... check out this website: http://www.whitehouse.gov/#
It's the cutest video of the Presidential Pooches!!!! (they're not pugs... but still so cute!)

Pug in the Purse

When Sigmund "used" to fit in my bag! Posted by Picasa
Don't mind the hair... I was letting it grow!
Sigmund still like to ride in this bag - trouble is - he doesn't fit anymore! Plus, he's way too heavy. So much for him weighing 15 to 18 pounds... he's already pushing 19!

Pug in the Pearl

Welcome to Sigmund Oliver's new blog! (and Anita's too!)
Sigmund is the king PUG of Portland, Oregon's "Pearl" neighborhood. In his seven months of life - this little guy's been through some exciting times! This blog will keep you updated on his adventures, latest photos and details of his charmed life. Since he doesn't have opposable thumbs, Anita will have to do the typing.
I posted this funny picture first. You can also check him out on "The Oregonian's" website: http://www.oregonlive.com/living/photos/ He's listed under "Who's your doggie 13."
