A day in the life of a pug in Portland's Pearl District. "Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made." - Roger Caras

Ice Cream

Someone likes pumpkin ice cream!
(Yes - his face is stuck!)
Strangely, I have this same desire sometimes.

Happy Howl-a-ween!

A few funny pictures emailed my way.
I hope they make you laugh as well!

Nap Time

This is how I caught Sigmund napping today.
It must be comfortable, like when I stretch my arms up over my head.

Filling in

While Patrick is away:

Sigmund is filling in quite well:

Nothing, no chair, no bed, no couch, no pile of laundry is safe from this little beast!
(Don't worry Patrick, I promptly kicked him out after I snapped the shots!)

Sneaking Sigmund on the Subway

Unlike Portland, NYC is a bit more strict when it comes to sweet pugs on public transportation.  Dogs have to be in an enclosed carrier.  We fudged a bit - Sigmund was slightly enclosed, but cute enough to get his usual "ooohhs" and "aaahhhs" during our trip to Tompkins Square.
Sigmund wasn't too impressed by the digs.  Check out his examination of this annoying Boston Terrier.  Sigmund's looking at him like, "You're not The Senator."

We did have a celebrity dog sighting.  Parker Posey and her pooch were there!

Undecided Voter

Sigmund and I had a little conversation after the last debate. He's undecided.

Enjoying it... While it lasts!

Sigmund's taking advantage of his last night in the bed before Patrick returns to NYC.
(How does he breathe down there?)
