'Miracle' Pug Run Over By Train And Survives
(CBS) WALPOLE, Mass. A 4-year-old pug from Walpole, Mass., has been dubbed Max the Miracle Dog.Max wandered onto some train tracks Friday morning near Walpole station, CBS affiliate WBZ-TV in Boston reports.Engineer Kym Berry saw the pug and slammed on her emergency brake but was unable to stop in time. When the crew looked back they saw Max cowering on the tracks without so much as a hair out of place.Assistant Conductor Pete Tomassini picked up the animal and took care of it for the duration of the commute.Robin Lennon, the dog's owner, contacted police who directed her to Mass. Bay Commuter Rail. Robin and Max were reunited later that night.
